Michael Charles – Teaching Professional

Michael Charles is a teaching professional at Eastmoreland Golf course and has been in the role since 2007. Beginning in 1996 and prior to coming to Eastmoreland, Michael was a professional who competed on various mini tours, and instructed at golf courses in Portland, and Palm Springs, including La Quinta C.C and Mission Hills C.C.
Michael grew up in Portland, and at age 9 began learning to play at Redtail Golf Course, and played on the golf teams at Jesuit High School and University of Portland. He has represented Oregon at the junior, and adult levels. He also competed on the Korn Ferry Tour, one step away from the PGA Tour.
As an instructor, Michael enjoys the opportunity of helping golfers of all abilities reach their individual goals. His experience ranges from teaching beginning golf schools and clinics, to working with collegiate players and aspiring tour players. His philosophy is to emphasize basic fundamentals, scoring techniques, while working with each individual’s specific needs and characteristics.
